Doorstop — another test shot to get a feel of the workflow with the new storage and table.

Knife — A quick test of the new photography table. Jim gave me the knife a few months ago, I’m not sure where he got it from. It’s more for decoration than anything else. It’s very heavy and made, I’m told, from surgical steel. I suspect it’s from India (the maker’s mark has been removed). The piece of driftwood was sent to us by a friend of Ginger’s in Sweden. It was washed up on the Baltic coast and is amazingly lightweight.

Ginger knows what I like and what will make me laugh – Ginger went out for lunch with our friend Rebbie today and brought back some goodies.

My new Fujifilm X-E3 camera arrived this afternoon.

Small Product Photography Set-up in a Closet (Our ‘photo closet’) — Back in June Ginger moved her studio to another of the bedrooms. She asked me to build a small product photo studio in the room’s closet. Below the photography area I fitted shelves to either side and there is room for two of her wheeled carts to fit in the middle.

Fujifilm XE2s Camera with 35mm F2 WR lens, and 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 OIS WR

Time to start zooming with my feet. I love my Fujinon 18-135mm OIS WR zoom lens with image stabilization. But it is big and heavy. A $100 price reduction saw this Fujinon 35mm F2.0 WR lens coming my way.

Jim is submitting this sculpture for a silent auction in aid of the Ozarks Regional Arts Council. The only requirement is that the piece has to fit inside a six-inch cube.
