Duotoned photograph of people sitting and standing outside a barn eating and conversing in the twilight

Inner circle, outer circle, circle of friends, circle of trust, running in circles, circles … everywhere.

Film noir style photograph of Storybook Barn Rogersville, Missouri at dusk

Late Arrivals – This photograph is begging to have its story told. Which is appropriate given the name of the venue – Storybook Barn. I wonder what the story might be?

Black and White photograph of Gary Allman

I’ve not taken a self-portrait in a while – so it is time to redress that situation.

Color photograph of paper napkins in a holder on a wooden kitchen table

Paper Napkins – Earlier today the light on the kitchen table caught my eye,and I wanted to take a picture but I was too busy. Fortunately the sky has been heavily overcast all day, when I stopped for lunch it was still looking good and I grabbed a few pictures.

It was very dark unfortunately … But that’s the end of Lanie’s high school theater run. Though she still has to go to Nationals in June with speech and debate.

At The Bottom of Lake Missoula – Glendale High School – This was Lanie’s final high school performance in the Glendale theater. She played Pam, a college sophomore who loses her entire family in a tornado 27 pictures

Photograph of a writing desk in a rustic environment

I like this crop so much I wish I’d taken this as a separate picture. However, the wider shots I took came out pretty good too. 3 pictures

I recently visited a friend who is converting a barn on their property into a wedding and event venue. While I was there I took a few pictures. This is probably an unrepeatable picture, as very shortly the clear pane is going to be replaced with frosted glass. Their website: www.storybookbarnmo.com

Routine Cleaning – Cleaning and fixing things was not quite my plan for the day, but that is what I ended up doing. +3

One of the very first photographs I took when I bought my first digital camera. I’ve always liked this image, when I decided to re-visit the picture I also produced this black and white version. Fawley Oil Refinery, Southampton Water, Hampshire, UK.

How many old cameras do I need? This is not a serious attempt at a picture, I was just pointing my camera at things in my office late one night.

Getzger waiting for shower time – Mr. Cat has been giving a very good impression of settling onto the ‘final glide-path’ this past couple of days. It was good to see him show an interest in joining me for a shower.

Big Fish – Saturday Matinee Performance – Another great performance, and this time we were joined by Ginger’s parents, and Susan, Dennis, Matt, and Betsy. 70 pictures

Lanie had an ensemble role in this year’s school musical – Big Fish. She had seven costumes and 14 costume changes … Two-minute read. +45

Monochrome image of a Swirly Fluorescent light bulb

I saw the swirly bulb and light fitting, and felt compelled to take this picture. There is no more to it than that. Is this a harbinger of a photo-mojo revival? Then my frivolous side wants to say: “don’t call me Swirly.”

Fr. Jonathan Frazier, Rector, St. Peter & All Saints, Kansas City, Missouri. This was a picture I took partly for work, and partly for myself.

Font and Flag Sometimes while I’m working I spot a picture that I want to take for myself, this is the second of the two pictures I took while documenting the area confirmation service at St. James’ here in Springfield.
