Welcome to Breakfast in America
My photo journal is an eclectic mix of things; there’s no guiding theme or topic. It is whatever happens to catch my attention, what I’ve been thinking, doing, and whatever my current obsessions are. At the moment, they are clearing some of the backlog on my ‘honey-do’ list, backpacking, hammock camping, and, I’m always, taking pictures.

Royal Mail Sorting Office / Post Office, Slindon Street, Portsmouth
Not very subtle architecture… But I love the way the sky was reflected in the windows and glass.
As this picture seems to get a lot of interest from people searching for information on the Slindon Street Sorting Office, here’s some additional information.
It was built in the late 1970s and was occupied by the Royal Mail until late 2016 when most of the operations moved to Voyager Park in Copnor.
2020 updates
The Slindon Street Post Office is still located in the building. There are proposals for developing the site. For more information visit: https://slindonstreet.co.uk
