Fall leaves on the ground featuring a single red leaf.

The squirrels have been working on a new route. Sprinky considers this cool because she can sit and watch them from the comfort of my filing cabinet. [1 picture]

Photograph of a cartoon style submarine reproduce in ceramic

Black and white photograph of a Fujinon XF18mmF2 R lens

After my false start earlier in the week I am now in possession of a new 18mm F2 lens. I checked through my pictures looking for the most commonly used focal lengths so I could replace my excellent, but heavy and huge 18-135 zoom lens for everyday carry — especially when backpacking and hiking. Which did I buy – Macro Lens ($600) vs Two Extension Tubes ($30)? I’ll let you guess. [2 pictures]

Did I miss the memo? We seem to have skipped August and September and jumped straight to October. Brrrr.
