Lanie is helping out at the Church Cider Days Parking Lot Youth Group  Fund Raiser. She’s also performing at Cider Days with the Little Mermaid cast. I grabbed this shot when I dropped her off this morning.

I’m very lucky to get this picture. I made a fundamental mistake when I last used the camera; I didn’t reset it back to a ‘ready to shoot’ mode when I’d finished with it. I ought to have realized there was something wrong and checked everything when the shutter didn’t fire because it was set on ‘remote’.

I’d been using the camera yesterday to test a new lens and tripod mount (more on that another day). One of the tests was to switch over to manual focus. Luckily it was just right for this picture.
